The Quant Marathon guides students through the ARPM Lab in six all-encompassing, mutually exclusive, core learning courses.
Primers for Mathematics, Python and MATLAB are also available self-paced.
The Quant Marathon is delivered online with both Cohort and Self-paced components.
Each Marathoner customizes his/her progress by switching across three modes: "Endurance Cohorts", "Speed Cohorts", "Self-paced". Switching can take place any number of times, based on performance and individual needs.
Endurance Cohort
Marathoners follow any given course with ARPM instructors and other participants.
Every course is made of 6 Units, each Unit is covered in 3 weeks for an average commitment of ~4 hours/week.
Often participants switch from an Endurance Cohort to Self-paced midway through a course, and switch back on the next Endurance Cohort to complete the course.
The Theory and Code Q&A Forums are constantly moderated by ARPM Instructors.
Speed Cohort
The same as the Endurance Cohort, except that each unit is covered in 1 week, requiring an average commitment of ~12 hours/week.
Self-paced
Marathoners progress through the Quant Marathon courses independently, while preserving interaction with the instructors.
The system reoptimizes every week an individual study plan based on time availability and progress.
The upcoming Fall Cohorts start on August 29, 2022, Self-paceds start at any time (see below). Participants can switch from Speed cohorts to Endurance cohorts or Self-paced (and back) at any time.
