Is there any deadline to enroll in the Quant Marathon?
Quant Marathon delivery modes may have different deadlines. For instrance, to join an Endurance Cohort or a Speed Cohort, you should enroll before the Course starts, whereas to study the Quant Marathon self-paced with your own pace, you can enroll at any time. Refer to here for the detailed schedules of the Quant Marathon courses in 2022.
What are the study materials I will have the access to for the Quant Marathon?
Attendees have full access to the ARPM Lab: theory, case studies, data animations, documentation, code (Python/MATLAB/R), slides, recorded video lectures and exercises.
Is there a recommended sequence of courses to attend?
Yes, the suggested sequence is:

It is not mandatory but highly recommended as the topics covered in the ARPM Lab are organized in a cohesive sequence.

Absolutely, you are free to study in advance as much as for your convenience. Your progress in studying Study materials is recorded in no time frame.
Do you provide any guidance during the program? Are the instructors available for Q&A?
If you enroll in the Quant Marathon, our instructors will guide you through this vast topics.
Yes, ARPM instructors follow up on every question posted in the private Q&A Forum and meet the students face to face during the live flipped classroom sessions.
For Quant Marathon, how many live lectures are held per week and on what days/time/duration of each lecture?
The Flipped Classrooms are pre-scheduled for each delivery mode that you elect.
The Flipped Classrooms are pre-scheduled once per week in Speed Cohorts and approximately once per 3 weeks in Endurance Cohorts. Each Flipped Classroom is 1h 10 min long and take places at a regular time, the exact time depends on the course.

How much time do I need to dedicate per week for the Quant Marathon?
The delivery modes require different time commitments. For instance, if you are in an Endurance Cohort, the expected time commitment is an average of approximately 4 hours per week. If you are in a Speed Cohort, you are expected to spend approximately 12 hours weekly. However, this number varies depending on your background knowledge and your study styles.
Can I attend all the courses simultaneously? Is it possible to attend only one or a couple of the Quant Marathon courses?
You can attend all the courses simultaneously and complete them in one term. You can also attend only one or two courses at a time. We recommend completing one or two courses per term, unless you can study full-time. See here for more details.
Do I need to take a mandatory exam as part of the Quant Marathon?
No, there is no mandatory exam. The ARPM Certification exams refer to the distinct ARPM Certification.
Do I get any certification after completing the courses of the Quant Marathon?
A Course Completion Statement is granted after successful completion of each Quant Marathon course. See here for more details. Upon completion of the entire Quant Marathon, you are encouraged to pursue the ARPM Certification.
When can I take the ARPM Certification exams if I enroll in the Quant Marathon?
We suggest completing the Quant Marathon courses that pertain to each exam first (Mathematics Primer, Data Science Foundations, Data Science for Finance, Advanced Data Science for Level I; Financial Engineering, Quantitative Risk Management and Quantitative Portfolio Management for Level II). Contact us and we will schedule an information session to suggest the best sequence of courses for you. The Certification exams can be taken after that as per the exam calendar along with the submission of the practical project.
How does the Quant Marathon compare with a Master’s in Financial Engineering (MFE)?
How long does it take to finish the Quant Marathon?
Depending on the delivery mode that you elect and your engagement, the Course Completion Statements for your courses will be issued upon your satisfactory completion of each core course.
It may take a few months or a few years to go through all the topics in the Lab. Because the ARPM Lab is constantly expanding, the Quant Marathon is so. You can still be updated by passing the ARPM Certification Exams and earn Lifetime access.
Is there a limitation on how often I can view the study materials or access the Lab channels?
There is no such limitation. You will have unlimited access to the entire ARPM Lab, a comprehensive, ever-expanding, multi-channel platform to learn and practice data science and modern quantitative finance. In addition, you will have unlimited access to training, whose speed is customized to your background and time availability, through a Virtual Classroom with Q&A forum for theory and code questions, hand-graded homework assignments, personal trainer's reminders, and detailed progress tracking.
How do I know I'm successfully onboarded in the Quant Marathon?
You will be guided with every step from your registration to the end of your Quant Marathon by emails. In particular, at the very beginning of the Quant Marathon, you will receive a welcome letter indicating the start of the Program.

Where do I find my progress report?
You will find in your Virtual Classroom the Progress summary tab indicating the summary of your overall progress in the Program and a report of your weekly engagement, as well as a Progress tab within each Unit indicating the Unit score.
I am in Self-paced mode, can I study any topics of my preference?
In Self-paced mode, you are free to study any topic at any time and pace per your preference. Your progress bars will reflect your effort accordingly. The Dashboard, however, will still show where you stand with the Program as suggested by ARPM and what is your goal for the current week, pointing you to the relevant Course Unit(s).
What is the Quant Bootcamp?
The ARPM Quant Bootcamp is an intense training that provides a broad overview of modern quantitative finance, across asset management, banking and insurance. It enables understanding of inter-relationships between topics across theory and implementation. Refer to here more details.
What are the different flavours the Quant Bootcamp is offered in?
The Quant Bootcamp program consists of lectures, live Q&A sessions and exercises sourced from the content of the ARPM Lab, as well as guest speakers and networking opportunities. It is offered in three flavours: Onsite, Live Streaming, and Self-paced.
The Quant Bootcamp Live Streaming is delivered via an enhanced version of ARPM's Learning Management System.

Do I get any certification after completing the Quant Bootcamp?
A Completion Statement will be issued for Quant Bootcamp Onsite attendees based on physical presence, for Quant Bootcamp Live Streaming attendees based on online viewing LIVE lectures and quizzes, for Quant Bootcamp Self-paced attendees based on tracked progress in viewing the video lectures, studying the Theory/Case Studies/Slides and quizzes.
I completed the program as per the defined grading policy. When could I expect to receive the Certification?

Do I get any equivalent to the Completion Statement of accomplishment for the case of the Lab Plus?
No Completion Statement is provided for Lab subscriptions as those are not programs/trainings.
How do I prepare for ARPM Certification? What course material would I have access to?
To prepare, you can use any materials available to you: textbooks, internet, code, etc... However, the ARPM Lab covers in depth precisely the topics of the ARPM Topics across theory, case studies, data animations, code, exercises, slides.
Furthermore, we have created two programs that leverage the ARPM Lab to walk you through the topics of the ARPM Certification: the (faster) Quant Bootcamp, and the (deeper) Quant Marathon.
Do I need to enroll in any of your programs to take the ARPM Certification exams?
No, you can enroll for the ARPM Certification independently. However, we recommend that you participate in one of our programs for easier maneuverability through the vast curriculum of the ARPM Lab topics.
How do I estimate the preparation time for the ARPM Certification exams?
The self-study preparation varies greatly based on your background. However, for reference, you will need approximately 5 months to take both Level I and Level II, if you choose to be guided by the Quant Marathon.
Are the ARPM Certification exams difficult?
We set the bar high in order for the ARPM Certification to speak for your skills to the employers that trust us.
Can I take the ARPM Certification Level I exam, the Level II exam, and the Practical Project in any order?
Yes, you do not need to follow any specific order, as long as you complete the three parts within a time span of three years.
What if I do not pass the ARPM Certification exams? How many times and when can I repeat an exam of the ARPM Certification?
You can repeat either Level I or Level II exams any number of times, whenever the exams are offered, at the discounted repeat price.
If I purchase the membership for a year, do I have to wait for that year to end to enter a ARPM Certification exam?
No, you can take exams whenever ready as per this calendar for Level 1 Exam, and this calendar for Level 2 Exam. Practical project can be submitted anytime within a 3-year span as of your purchase.
Where will I take the exams for the ARPM Certification? Is it taken online or at an exam venue?
The exams are administered remotely online via remote screening technology.
